Kanaweyimik is an independent, non-political child welfare agency providing child welfare and family services to four First Nations. Moosomin, Mosquito, Saulteaux & Sweetgrass First Nations contract for services with Kanaweyimik.
The following is a general description of a Driver position. Salary will be commensurate with experience,training and education. This is a full-time, permanent position.
DRIVER
1 FULL-TIME, PERMANENT POSITION
Specific duties
· Provide transportation for children, adults and families to and from family visits, and group sessions
· Establishing a relationship of trust and support by being caring and honest, showing primary concern to children and families
· Report to the Supervisor to gather schedule of trips and plan your day
· Document critical incidents encountered during trip
· Provide safe transportation for children, adults and families
· Keep a log of trips with names of individuals transported, date, time of pick up and drop off, location of pick up and drop off
· Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisor
Qualifications
· Must have a minimum of a grade 10 education
· Excellent verbal, written and time management skills are required
· Must have a valid Saskatchewan driver’s license
· Must demonstrate computer knowledge and application
· Prior experience providing transportation services will be a definite asset.
· Ability to speak the Cree language will be a definite asset.
· A clear criminal records check and vulnerable sectors check must be presented at interview
